Number six is Durham University – Royal Charter in 1837. One of the highest ranking universities in the UK.

Number five is the University of St. Andrews founded in 1413 and is on the east coast of Scotland.

Number four is the London School of Economics And Political Science founded in 1895. LSE is a specialist University.

Number three is Imperial College London, established in 1907. The main campus is in South Kensington.

Number two is the University of Cambridge founded in 1209 and is one of the world’s oldest universities.

Number one is the University of Oxford the oldest university in the English speaking world. Former students include six kings and twenty six british Prime Ministers.
